We also believe that happy, healthy employees lead to a highly productive company.Position TitleTrade Contractor CoordinatorGeneral DescriptionThe Trade Contractor Coordinator is responsible for support to develop and enhance trade contractor relationships. Serve as an internal and external liaison to facilitate trade contractor onboarding, while maintaining and tracking Section 3 and MWBE compliance. Key Responsibilities and Duties Monitor, document, and coordinate efforts to meet the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Section 3 requirements.Document all activities undertaken by WEAVERCOOKE Construction to comply with Section 3 program requirements.Ensure files and data accurately support WEAVERCOOKE's compliance with Section 3 requirements.Coordinate with Accounting Department to collect Resident Certification forms and trade contractor employee hours worked.Determine Section 3 status of workers based on qualifying pile monthly reports for each Section 3 project.Document and report all good faith efforts undertaken to meet program requirements.Maintain all copies of submissions and supporting documents for audit purposes.Assist with marketing and outreach campaigns and events to target and engage Section 3 workers and Section 3 business concerns.Assist in the bid solicitation process.Assist in the preparation and dissemination of the invitation to bid to trade contractors.Understand project-specific needs for trade contractor pricing and help with the solicitation of appropriate trade contractors.Follow up with invited trade contractors by email and phone during the bidding phase to ensure adequate bids are submitted for each scope by the bid deadline.Update and maintain the trade contractor database.Assist with achieving MWBE participation project goals.Assist in seeking out and identifying potential MWBE trade contractors and suppliers.Understand the MWBEHUB certification process and assist qualified trade contractors with the certification process.Coordinate and participate in trade contractor-related meetings, training, and outreach pile monthly or quarterly reports on MWBE participation.Bluebook Network, ABC Carolinas, MWBE-related outreaches, regional tradeEnsure files and data accurately support WEAVERCOOKE's compliance with Section 3 requirementsOversee the prequalification of trade contractors prior to contract execution.Send out prequalification applications to trade contractors.Follow up with trade contractors to ensure applications are complete.Manage the prequalification application through the approval process.Update and maintain the database of prequalified trade contractors.Assist with answering the receptionist telephone and coverage of front desk dutiesMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements One plus years of experience in an administrative role.Ability to understand and implement Section 3 regulations.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Ability to gather data and assist with report preparation.Great time management, organization, and prioritization skills.Ability to work independently and work well with others.Good attention to detail and basic math skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Must work well in a multitask environment prioritizing own work and assisting the team.Must possess general office experience and etiquette.Bi-lingual is a plus.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Must be able to sit for long periods of time and be able to move around an office environment.Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull up to 20 pounds.Constant finger dexterity and use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, or controls.Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.Must be able to speak clearly so that others can easily understand.
