Job Description:

Position Summary: The Product Engineer HVAC is responsible for helping customers determine the typesizequantity of filters and HVAC equipment products they need for residential or commercial applications, as well as the most effective placement of the equipment to provide maximum efficiency. Additionally, we're looking for someone who can do product testing in the engineering lab in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining a high standard of quality. PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time role LOCATED IN JOHNSON CITY, TN, with flexibility for some remote work.  THIS POSITION REQUIRES HVAC ENGINEERING EXPERIENCEDEGREE.Responsibilities include:●     Consult with commercial customers to determine the size and location of equipment needed for their project.●     Requires knowledge of various commercial HVAC systems, fan performance, fan laws, heat transfer, and psychometrics.●     Collect information needed for unit proposals (i.e., duct system blueprints, equipment schedules and specifications) to determine the equipment and filter sizes needed and create an action plan to meet the customers' needs.●     Supports the Customer Service Department by providing technical support for the filters and in-duct products.●     Talk to current and prospective dealers about the technology and provide an overall view of the product capabilities.●     Assist in training new personnel, as needed.●     Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.●     Requires regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.●     All other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills & abilities): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill andor ability required.●     Education andor Experience: Requires a Degree in EngineeringHVAC, with 1-2 years of HVAC system design experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.●     Previous experienceunderstanding of utilization of filtration materials.●     The ideal candidate will have the ability to recognize and create chemical bonding diagrams or have relevant experience with organic chemistry.●     Ability to read and interpret blueprints.●     Requires excellent communication skills to meet people at all levels and clearly communicate the information needed.●     Extensive experience using various computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.●     Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.●     Attention to and focus on detail and accuracy.●     Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as computer instructions, etc. Proficiency in English language is required to effectively communicate with people at all levels.The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, drug-free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
