Job Description:

LVLY LA, a Design Animation VFX Studio, is seeking a Technical Operations Assistant.  This position will report to the Technical Operations Manager and be responsible for quality control of all incoming and outgoing assets, file management, providing clear communication on timelines and ensuring efficient final delivery of assets for our clients.Qualifications RequiredExperience with encoding transcoding files from one format to another Knowledge of various codecs such as Uncompressed, Apple ProRes, XDCAM, Animation, DNxHD, DNxHR, VP9, h264, h265, mpeg (1,2,4), WebM, html5 file formatsKnowledge of compression software such as Adobe Media Encoder & Compressor Knowledge of broadcast standards such as High Definition (1080p 23.98, 720p 59.94, 1080i 59.94) as well as Standard Definition (NTSC)Experience with digital file submission via FTP (File Transfer Protocol), Aspera andor digital distribution sites such as Extreme Reach and AdStreamUnderstanding of file requirements for posting assets to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Hulu, Vimeo, Spotify, Snapchat, etc Understanding of Audio Standards and Practices - Target Loudness (LKFS) & True-Peak levelsUnderstanding of video scopes and waveform monitorsExperience with file captioning and formats such as .SRT & .VTTMaintainingupdating  assets for Wiredrive and Website usageProficient with Mac OSAbility to calmly manage voluminous deliveries and fast-paced timelinesAbility to provide technical guidance and information in layman's terms to non-technical listeners  PreferredFamiliarity with the Frame.io platform Familiarity with Webflow and AirtableKnowledge of UHD & HDR Knowledge of common softwares including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flame, Davinci ResolveBasic knowledge of unixThe position will start out remote but will eventually transition to our LA office in the Miracle Mile area.Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
