Al Capone (a subsidiary of the BS-Group) is represented in the US market through ICC (Inter-Continental Cigar Corp.) and part of the global BS Tobacco Group with presence in European, Asian and North American markets. Over the past 20+ years ICC has developed the Al Ca-pone brand to become the best selling Hand Rolled, Premium Cigarillo in the USA's OTP(Other Tobacco Products) category. The product currently enjoys a loyal consumer base and distribution across major regional markets in specialty and mass market retail channels.The Sales Area Manager is responsible for the further development and extension of sales in hisher area according to the company strategy of adherence to corporate policy. The incumbent is responsible for the budget and results - achieving sales targets. Candidate must live in or near Dallas, Texas and be familiar with regions within the state.Performance MeasurementsMeet area objectives in areas of sales, merchandising and administration.Sales volumeDistribution, Point of Sale visibility and opening new retail accountsResponsibilities:- Retail Calls in assigned area- Sales Presentations- Overcoming objections- Call CheckConsistently monitortrack results, identify risks & propose corrective actions, identify upsides & propose ideas to capitalize on those opportunitiesDistributor call responsibility within region, develop partnerships and maintain relationships with top distributors in regionManage operating expenses, trade shows, standard display budget for the area, and report results to National Sales Manager on a weekly basisSurface volume building opportunities in are marketsretailerObserve and communicate market conditions to include; regulations, competition, distributors and AC performanceAct as conduit for all programs and information developed at retail outlet.Ensure understanding and completion of all required activitiesPerform special projects as assigned by the NSMRequirements and Characteristics:Extensive sales skills2-5 years of experience in Tobacco sales in CPG business in the US (Majority of that in the tobacco industry preferred but not required)Working experience in one of the big multinational companies as well as in a middle smaller company, preferably family managedHas successfully developed extended sales for a FMCG company in the independent retail channel (convenience stores, liquor, tobacco shops)Deep knowledge and experience in developing and implementing sales and new products into the independent retail tradeProven, quantifiable success in driving business growthDistributorWholesale experiencePassionate, with strong consumer orientationStrong overall business acumenIndependent thinkerHonest, open and has funHard worker, hands-on, strives for defined objectives with perseveranceIs quality driven and has focus (we do it right or not at all)Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and has proven success in mentoring and developing peopleWilling to travel regionally - overnight travel.'Base Salary Range: $60,000 (plus quarterly bonus - $16k bonus guaranteed first 12 months)The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of ICC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonus.
