Allen Norton & Blue, P.A., established in Coral Gables in 1969 as a traditional labor law firm, has expanded its scope to all areas of labor & employment law. The Firm is now devoted exclusively to the practice of labor and employment Law, representing management interests for state, national, and international clients in the public and private sectors for over 50 years. The Associate Attorney's responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Analyzing complex legal factual issues while conducting extensive and well-reasoned legal research • Independently developing and aggressively presenting defense strategies on behalf of clients from inception through trial • Preparing pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies • Providing effective and timely information, legal advice, and other services • Communicating with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion • Participating in claims file reviews • Independently conducting trials, depositions, arbitration, and meditations • Attending continuing legal education seminars in order to maintain a high level of professional expertise Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice in the state of Florida is required (also accepting February and July 2024 bar examinee applicants) • Litigation experience • Demonstrated skill in legal research and legal writing • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Solid MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook); LMS+ experience • Self-directed aptitude with excellent organizational and prioritization skills Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance
