Position: Estimating Manager (Industrial Piping)Location: New London, WIDivision: Enerpipe Inc.Direct Report: General ManagerJob Summary:The Estimating Manager will provide oversight and guidance to the estimating staff during the pre-construction phase of the project. Project opportunities will include a variety of contract delivery methods primarily focused on the Energy and Industrial markets. They will implement company processes and procedures while continuously adapting and looking for ways to improve. They will coordinate and communicate with multiple divisions of the organization including estimating staff, project controls, field operations staff, legal counsel, and corporate management to ensure estimates are reviewed appropriately and align with company goals.Core Responsibilities:Project deliverables review (RFP, Specifications, Commercial Terms, Model, etc.)Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits and client presentations as required.Manage estimating schedule and assign tasks to direct reports.Establish project win strategies for different contracting methods (Firm Price, T&M, Target, etc.)Review project estimates and verify all content with the lead estimator (Direct Hours, Staffing, Equipment, Material, Subcontracts, etc.)Coordinate, schedule, and participate in regional and corporate review meetings.Assist with producing proposal content (execution plans, baseline schedules, C&E's, bid forms)Develop and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Provide support, guidance, and training to direct reports to promote growth.Work closely with Business Development and GM for alignment of Salesforce structure and utilizationEffective estimates follow up and recording for accurate up to date information assessment and follow through actionsCreate SOP's for estimating standards and load levelingContinuous pursuit of process improvementBehavioral QualitiesLeadership by exampleRelentless commitment to safety and qualityAct with uncompromising integrityBe a good listener to and value relationships with employees, customers, and business partners.Value teamwork over individual aspirationsMaintain confidential information.Flexibility to accept and adapt to change.Education and Experience:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or relevant years of experience in related field preferred.Minimum 4-7 years of estimating experience required.Prior pipe fabrication and pipe estimating experience is highly preferred.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Must be proficient in SalesforcePrevious experience with software systems including but not limited to SAP, P6, InEight Estimate, Trimble Accubid, and Navisworks is highly preferred.Ability to navigate specifications and plansProficiency in demonstrating proposals and projectsAbility to handle multiple assignments at onceClose attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to travel periodically (10-20%).Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
