***THIS POSITION IS FOR A FINANCIAL ANALYST, NOT A DATA ANALYST. ONLY CANDIDATES WITH DIRECT EXPERIENCE IN FINANCIAL SERVICES WILL BE CONSIDERED.****We are looking for a bright mind with 2-3 years of practical work experience working with senior staff in the Investment Banking, Wealth Management or Real Estate divisions of a large financial institution or a seasoned independent RIA. Must be personable and professional and have extensive knowledge and experience with the full Microsoft Office suite of products with a high level of proficiency that rises to the level of expertise in Excel and PowerPoint. Completion of a structured analyst program is preferred. Working knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus, and interest in becoming a power user with training will be a requirement for the role. We are looking for a teammate who can demonstrate they have enough knowledge of financial markets, asset classes and financial planning to follow a conversation, ask a few questions then leave the room knowing where to start the output for iteration. More importantly, the ideal candidate will have a genuine natural curiosity in the wealth management and investments businesses that stretches beyond daily work hours. We are looking for you to have a desire to learn more about how best to strategize for clients, someone who wants to anticipate the next question or roadblock and help the team navigate on behalf of our clients. We are very entrepreneurial; so you will need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to help wherever needed. You will be the first in this position, so you will have an opportunity to leave your mark on the role. We are a flat organization, so you will be working directly with partners, VPs, and clients, which creates a tremendous opportunity for growth and learning. You will - · Support three partners, all industry veterans, and two VPs in all facets of their respective roles, both investment and advisory· Build financial models, underwriting investment opportunities, income and total return scenarios, and asset allocation scenarios· Prepare materials for presentations to prospective and existing clients, including pitch decks, investment recommendations, and on-going investment performance reporting· Navigate multiple software platforms to choose the appropriate data to include in your draft of presentations to clientsBecome highly proficient in organizing data and turning client-facing reports from our in-house data aggregation software· Visualize the data mentioned above in a thoughtful & concise way....painting a picture, telling the story with the dataLearn to break down client asset details into customized analysisreporting used to provide advice and make recommendations· Provide investment research, analysis , and advice to our clients· Participate in investment manager meetings and assist in the manager research process· Record notes and create summary sheets for ongoing investment diligence meetings· Gain proficiency in relaying market data both verbally and through a host of internal and external reporting· Communicate directly with clients and their other providers, including accountants and attorneys· Complete administrative tasks involved in opening client accounts, moving assets, etc.· Maintain & execute where appropriate on any regularly scheduled, on-going client tasks· Perform other duties as assigned We want -· Someone with strong attention to detail and accuracy· Ability to work under pressure· Ability to work independently and provide follow-up with the team· Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once· Ability to consistently meet deadlines· Ability to synthesize different working styles and competing priorities· Already has a thorough personal process in place to maintain task list so nothing falls through the cracks· Ability to prioritize· Solid knowledge of markets and financial concepts· Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality· Excellent personal and professional references· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Qualifications - · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field is preferred· Extra coursework or pursuit of advanced credentials also advantageous· Expert-level proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential· Understanding of performance reporting calculations and software output a plus We offer - · Collaborative fun environment· Cash profit sharing bonus structure· Paid parking· 401(k) match· Generous company contribution to medical benefits
