This position may also be eligible for a shift differential andor overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).What you'll do:Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, with assistance from the Maintenance Planner and the Shift Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will safely and efficiently maintain facility equipment, buildings and mechanical systems.Key responsibilities:Create new and modify existing iFix operator interface screens in a multiple SCADA server environment (includes new graphics, screens, navigation, interface, etc.)- Generate trends within iFix and iFix Historian, and to display them on operator interfaceElectrical knowledge of 3 phase systems required, including:- Able to explain 3-phase motor control circuits, including breakers, starters, overloads, MCC buckets, and control circuits- Explain NEC codes, how to ensure compliance and how to use the reference bookMechanical knowledgeskills strongly preferred, including:- General working knowledge of piping fitting, specifically threaded fittings and understanding of pipe sizes and schedules- Explain and demonstrate cutting torch use for cutting and heating- Demonstrate basic welding skills, with focus on TIG welding of stainless steel (small brackets, light duty, non-structural)- Ability to weld light-wall stainless piping (ferrules, fittings, etc.)- Inspect and change bearings of different types (pillow block, pilot, flange, etc.)- Able to properly select v-belts and timing belts, properly tension and align pulleys- Ability to troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace a variety of pumps, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps- Able to troubleshoot and rebuild pneumatic control valves, including disassembly, replacing worn and damaged components, reassembly, and final testingQualifications and skillsDegree in an industrial controls or industrial automation technologyFoodbeverage manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.1+ years' experience in a related fieldKnowledge of Controls and PLCs required, including:- Write PLC code from scratch; includes ladder logic, structured text, and function block (RS Logix, Visual Basic)- Able to set up VFD drives (specifically Powerflex) utilizing the HMI device on the drive (motor overloads, start sources, enter motor nameplate information, etc.)- Must demonstrate knowledge of current Allen Bradley PLC and industrial controls- Troubleshoot PLC and network issues quickly and effectively (including but not limited to those areas described above, instrument accuracy issues, messaging errors, IO faults, power supply issues, etc.)Experience:1 year in related fieldOn Call - Must be available for emergency call-in to perform equipment and system repairs on a rotating basis per established procedures to insure equal distribution of call-in responsibilities
