Macdonald & Co. is proudly partnered with a vertically integrated investor and developer of residential and commercial real estate in Denver, Colorado, to appoint a Managing Director or Senior Vice President of Acquisitions.This growing firm have an appetite to increase their value-add Multifamily portfolio and seek a talented leader to oversee and grow their investments team, whilst strategically increasing their Multifamily portfolio across key growth markets nationally.Please note that this position is on-site in Denver, Colorado.The PositionThe MDSVP of Investments leads the investment team by providing strategic leadership & oversight of the investments group, instilling best-practice & implementing an institutional acquisitions capability across the team, partnering closely with the executive leadership community across development, asset management, and other areas, and ultimately executing on the firm's business plan to expand it's investments platform across key markets, nationally.ResponsibilitiesOriginate, underwrite, negotiate and close multi-family acquisitions and developments with a focus on Value-Add opportunitiesSource and identify new JV equity and debt partners and create relationships which will provide consistent deal partnershipsIncrease quality deal flow with brokers and other industry contacts across target markets nationally, namely Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, AustinSan Antonio, Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville, and MiamiS. FloridaReview and adjust financial models for the valuation and cash flow projections based on changing market conditionsManage the due diligence process: direct activities with attorneys, architects, engineers, consultants, governmental bodies and other interested parties to plan projects related to public entitlement, site permits, acquisition due diligence and closing activitiesWork with Asset Management team to monitor asset performance KPI's and build the internal controls to monitor and manage engaged property management firms and leasing agencies, as well as the implementation of value-added strategiesEvaluate potential development opportunities and their associated risk return profileRepresent the team in investor communications including acquisition and quarterly asset performance and disposition reportsSupport debt and equity capital markets needs and operationsLead and continually develop a strong acquisition team to execute on the firm's investments strategyOn OfferCompetitive salary, bonus potential, and generous promote participationA leadership role within a well-capitalized and growing firmUpward mobility to C-suite
