Do you have a passion for working with and educating other scientists with your mastery of next generation sequencing?Do you thrive in an environment with diversity, communication, collaboration, and teamwork as the core values?As the Lab Application Scientist, you be involved in educating internal employees as well as performing collaborative projects and demonstrations for our customers.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGResponsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction within the Complete Genomics installed base.Responsible for the delivery - instructionmentoringconsulting - of the customer andor employee educational services andor technical training in assigned business segments internally or externally.Translates customer's educational requirements into single seminars, customized solutions, or projects, which improve the effectiveness and intellectual capital of customers.Works with customers and internal organizations to develop specifications, and design and conduct technical training courses for customers andor employees Instructs participants in classroom lectures andor laboratory sessions.Determines and develops approaches to customeremployee education service assignmentsLeads projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers, and third parties.Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.Scopes solution deliverables and calculates solution implementation effort (time and price).WHERE YOU WILL WORKFull-time in Framingham, MA.WHAT YOU WILL BRING US3+ years (cumulative) of extensive NGS library prep, applications, data analysis, troubleshooting and sequencer use.1+ years of customer-facing training experience (hands-on and lecture).Excellent communication skillsAbility to be a supportive team memberComfort and strong ability to interact positively with both internal and external groupsWHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKEBachelor's or Master's Degree in genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar discipline.HOW WE WILL REWARD YOUThe base salary for this position is $85,000 - $125,000.*This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, andor individual performance results in accordance with company policy.We offer our eligible employees and their dependents (including domestic partners) a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
