Confers with production co-workers to coordinate activities of the department.Responsible for coaching, training, and developing operations personnel in safety, quality, production, problem-solving, and technical and interpersonal communication skillsRecommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product. Collaborates and suggests changes in working conditions and the use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the department.Maintains quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management.Ensure best practices are being followed for minimization of waste at machine centersAddress key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time productionTrack continuous improvement opportunities where performance issues are apparent and provide leadershipaction plans for gap closureResponsible for directing and training co-workers and subordinates in the operation of machinery and spects all work in progress and finished goods.Reviews any identified errors and complaints and actively assists in any corrective andor preventive action as needed.Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational municates any deficiencies or challenges with supervising and management team to avoid problems between shift changes.Prepares and provides subordinate performance evaluations.Keeps upper management informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of violating co-workers.Performs other duties andor responsibilities as requested What it takes: Minimum Qualifications:High school graduate or combination of post-secondary education and experience.3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in the corrugated industry highly prefer or training; equivalentProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)Must be available to work day, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including dealing with customers, vendors, and co-workers.Effective communicator and problem solver.Ability to work independently and as a team player.Ability to write routine e-mails and correspondence.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree desirableBi-lingual (Spanish)5-10 years of Industry knowledge.FacilitationPresentation SkillsInfluencingPartnering
