POSITION SUMMARY:The EHS Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Health, Safety & Environmental goals including objectives for all Americas locations in the USA and Canada. This role will be directly responsible for the successful implementation of Americas and Global EHS programs and procedures.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and support programs and procedures to meet Americas and Global EHS objectives and KPIs. Key focus points include: -Accident Prevention -EHS Regulatory Compliance -Waste MinimizationCoordinate all EHS training with focus on behavioral safety programs.Create plans and programs to lead RWC Americas from a dependent to an independent safety culture. The ultimate target is an interdependent safety culture.Ensure compliance with Group (Global) EHS Policy and Directives. Perform Audits towards Global Risk Management Standards and create Action Plans to close any gaps.Give guidance and support to direct report EHS Coordinator Cullman ManufacturingSupport and manage corrective actions from EPA audits.Support and manage OSHA actions such as, but not limited to, inspections, letters of noncompliance and informal conferences.Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports for Americas Leadership Team, the Global Health & Safety Board Committee, and the RWC Board.Coordinate activities with EMEA and APAC regions. Stay in close contact with EHS personnel in UK, Australia and China.Direct all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.Maintain necessary EHS records.Support and integrate EHS into Lean, HR, and Supply Chain efforts.Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:20- 30% Travel - periodic travel to RWC facilities in US and Canada requiredAssess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment.Create a schedule of regular evaluation of the facilities.Participate in the development of policies and procedures that affect the use of supplies and facilities.Create monitoring systems or programs in the institution to detect problems as early as possible.Ensure the safety of buildings or establishments from fire, flood, and other itiate active region-wide campaigns on safety.Prepare pertinent records and reports for the safety service division of the institution.Develop staff development programs such as skills enhancement trainings and sessions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree, extensive experience with certificate programs, seminars and CEU's.Nationally recognized Safety and Health certification preferred: CSP, CIH, OHST, PE, etc.Experience: 5 years of applicable experience in manufacturing or distribution environment.A strong working knowledge of EHS and OSHA regulations.Experience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety a petencies: Can work independently.Excellent communication and computer skills.Creative ability in insuring safety of employees, the environment while meeting the needs of production.Ability to plan and implement EHS programs.Strong presentation skills.Ability to work effectively with management as well as with associates from the floor.Must be able to travel and work out of the office.Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations including 29 CFR 1910, 1926Strong working knowledge of EPA 40 CFR and DOT 49 CFRProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Job requires both sitting and standing.Excellent vision, hearing, speech and motor skills are required to perform essential functions of the job.Able to walk, bend, stoop and stand for up to eight hours a day.Required to frequently lift andor move up to 25 poundsThe position will be primarily in an office environment but will also include warehouse, manufacturing plant and other locations.
