Job Title: Director of OperationsReports to: CEODirect Reports: Warehouse Lead, Senior Production Administrator, Analyst, Operations AdminJack's Abby Brewing is recruiting a Director of Operations to oversee its growing Operations Team. Jack's Abby was founded in 2011 by three brothers, Jack, Eric and Sam Hendler and is still family owned to this day. We are known for creating high-quality lagers that honor tradition and the spirit of innovation.The Director of Operations at Jack's Abby oversees all production related operations functions at the brewery. These functions can largely be broken down into six areas critical to the brewery's success:Supply Chain ManagementBuild systems and manage personnel to:Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to eliminate out of stock issuesEnsure we are receiving competitive pricing on all raw materials we are purchasingSchedulingPlanningMaintain all contract brewing schedules (brewing, packaging, etc)Provide guidance for scheduling of all Jack's Abby brewing and packagingMaintain production vs. capacity forecastsOptimize production schedule to increase efficiency and rescue line changesForecastingForecasting is the foundation to get much of the rest of the role done rightOversee an analyst and provide them the framework and guidance to build and maintain meaningful and accurate forecasts to drive the scheduling and supply chain functions of the breweryWarehouseLogisticsOversee Warehouse Lead and their direct reportsBuild and oversee systems to ensure inventory levels, goods receipts, bols, invoices etc are accurately recordedOversee inventory countsOversee planning for space and storage constraintsContract Brewing ManagementOversee communications systems between operations department and Contract Brewer partners related to: Scheduling, Inventory Levels, Outbound Order Management, New Product Management, and Quality ControlCoordinate with Sr. Manager of Brewery Partnerships to assist with new contract partner plianceEnsure Jack's Abby products are properly registered in all markets they are being shipped intoThe perfect candidate will have five plus years of experience in a senior operations role in a brewery or other beverage manufacturing pensation:Jack's Abby is offering a competitive salary, commensurate with experience401(k)Health, Dental and Vision insuranceLocation: This position will be located at the brewery in Framingham, Massachusetts.
