Job Description:

As School Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development within an educational setting. Your role will include developing personal relationship with students in student counseling, educational guidance, academic support, student crisis intervention, educational planning, career counseling, and student advocacy. Responsibilities:Develop personal relationship with student body and acknowledge student growth needs.Create educational planning for students seeking counseling assistance in relation to academiccareer interests, academic abilities, and growth.Advise and regularly communicate on appropriate courses, subjects, school procedures, and requirements for graduation.Perform student crisis management in regard to academic support needs, learning habits, personal planning, emotional stress, and student teract with teaching staff on data, reports, and student records to provide collaboration as a team.Lead and facilitate student workshop events and programs on areas to help reach student academic success, attend to career aspirations, and student development.Research and evaluate counseling techniques, common mental health issues, educational trends, and laws & procedures pertaining to student welfare. Requirements:Prior guidance counselor or school counselor experience.Masters degree in School Counseling required.Active School Counseling license in Florida.
