Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team to create comprehensive documentation for shareholder equity statements tailored to farmers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation for both agricultural operations and associated software systems. This is a temporary contract position for 2-3 months, requiring 40 hours per week.Responsibilities:Collaborate with agricultural experts and software developers to understand the process of generating shareholder equity statements for farmers.Create clear and concise documentation outlining the entire process from start to finish, including procedures for both agricultural practices and software operation.Develop SOPs for agricultural activities such as measuring crop yields, calculating production, and determining shareholder equity payouts based on agricultural performance.Write detailed procedures for the software system used in generating equity statements, ensuring usability and accuracy.Conduct on-site visits to a hybrid office location in Greeley, spending 3 days per week to meet with stakeholders, gather data, and understand the nuances of the agricultural process.Work remotely for the writing portion of the project, collaborating with team members through virtual communication channels.Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders to ensure documentation meets their needs and requirements.Revise and update documentation as needed based on feedback and changes to the equity statement process or software system.Requirements:Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the agricultural or software development field.Strong understanding of agricultural processes, particularly in relation to crop yield measurement and food production.Proficiency in documenting SOPs and process workflows.Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.Experience writing software documentation and procedures.Ability to work independently and remotely, while also collaborating effectively with team members.Flexibility to travel to Greeley for on-site visits as needed.Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field preferred.Duration and Work Schedule:Temporary contract position for 2-3 months.40 hours per week, with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the Greeley office.
