Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for a Direct Hire position with a client located in Chandler, AZ. To be considered for this position you must have experience working with Machining Metal components, MRB (Material Review Board) and COPQ ( Cost of Poor Quality)PaySalary Range: $100,000yr - $110,000yrManufacturing Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:The MQE is responsible for driving continuous process improvement in the manufacturing process.- Senior level or some Lead experience- Individual contributor role, has potential for leadership responsibilities- Ideally someone who is looking to excel into leadership- Project Management experience is a plusESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality activities to assure optimum quality in all products manufactured and assembled within a work cell. * Coordinate all quality activities and work with design engineering, manufacturing, planning and other disciplines to ensure the quality of the product. * Investigate internal and external quality concerns, and lead cross functional teams to determine root cause, and implement permanent corrective actions. * Inspect and review lot paperwork for completeness and correctness. * Analyze work instructions and procedures for errors and potential failure points. * Find innovative ways to improve quality through new process controls. * Candidate must be very high energy, and able to keep up with a fast-paced environment. The position requires the majority time to be spent working in the assembly area, with minimal time at a desk.QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of degree equivalent experience directly related to work environment may be considered * Minimum of 3-7 years' experience in manufacturing environment * Candidate must be proficient in Word, Excel, and statistical software * Experience in ordinance and use of energetic materials, powderspropellants is a strong plus * Must have strong data analysis skills, including the ability to present the data in reports to support investigation conclusions * Strong oral and written communication skills * Training and demonstrated competency with APQP tools (i.e. DPFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) * Strong problem-solving skills to help drive use of FBS in operations and other departments * Experience with lean manufacturing is a strong plus * Electronics experience of IPC-610 and JSTD 001 certification preferredIf you are interested in this Manufacturing Quality Engineer job in Chandler, AZ, then please click APPLY NOW.
