Yorktel is currently seeking an Instructional Designer Specialist III who will assist the client in the development of online training content by conducting research on training needs, understanding the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) requirements for Leadership training, making recommendations, developing training content and presenting findings to client team members and executives. The Instructional Design Specialist III skillsets may be more specifically defined at the task order level to include developing and conducting training needs surveys, analyzing results, identifying training needs, and developing and creating necessary eLearning training via client supplied software to meet those needs. In addition, they will design and develop guidelines, behavioral objectives, instructional methods, course materials, and training aids. Roles and Responsibilities:Analyzes and prioritizes training needs Develops course outline and objectives Designs and develops course content Designs and develops storyboards and interaction models for simulations Writes scripts for audio and video presentations Designs and develops script scenarios for soft skills and other training Designs and develops training content in an eLearning platform Creates 508 accessible training with high usability in eLearning platforms Creates branching models for multiple outcome training modules Interacts with SMEs to create training modules and submit finished projects for review Collaborates with client staff on Instructional Design issues and methodologySkills and abilities:Proficiency using current editions of industry standard and client provided eLearning applications and platforms (currently Articulate Studio and Articulate Storyline), and learning management systems Excellent documentation, communication, teamwork, project management, and organizational skills Experience in developing course outlines and objectives Experience in writing course content for audio and video presentations Experience in developing script scenarios for soft skills and other training scenarios Experience in working with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to create training moduleslessons and submit finished projects for final review A keen attention to detail Experience creating detailed reports and conducting multi-media presentations Experience working in a studio environment to produce audiovisual training content Experience in accessibility and usability Knowledge of instructional design models, strategies, and best practices Knowledge and understanding of the Office of Personnel Management requirements for Leadership training Basic knowledge of streaming audio and video, file types and formats, and experience with online eLearning software Education and Qualifications:The Instructional Designer Specialist III shall meet one of the following minimum requirements: Have 8 years' experience in eLearning Instructional Design or related field Have a Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field Additional Requirements:Portfolio or Articulate Storyline samples upon requestMay require occasional lifting up to 25 LBSRequires extensive sitting, standing and walkingDomestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work areaValid driver's licenseValid Passport; International Travel may be requiredMust be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contractsMust be willing to apply for security clearances, Suitability, and other related clearances to be able to work at certain customer locations.Join us and you will enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package, including 401k and Flex 125 plans.We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
