DESCRIPTION:The job duties of the Microsoft Solutions Architect are as follows: Develop, plan, implement and manage solutions for the following Microsoft infrastructure:Active Directory (AD) Roles, Sites, and ServicesActive Directory Federation Services (ADFS)Domain Name System (DNS) ServicesDynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) ServicesNetwork Time Protocol (NTP) ServicesFile and Print Services (Shared home directories, roaming profiles, and distributed file systems)AD securityWindows backup and restorationAuditing and security policies, procedures, technologies, and tools to support audit requirements.VMWare virtualized environments and technologiesAD application integration methods and tools (single-sign-on)Certificate infrastructure Remote access technologies (Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Citrix, VMWare) and integrationHigh availability and disaster recovery (load balancing, clustering, etc.)Program thinthick client infrastructureDevelop System Design Documents (SDDs), architecture diagrams, system and software build documentation, installation guidelines, test plans, and other core architecture documentationReport Windows infrastructure status updates to program leads and key stakeholders Lead other administratorsengineers in project meetings to meet project deliverables within scope and budgetREQUIREMENTSTS SCI CI PolyCandidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a doctorate and 8 years of experience OR master's and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, associate and 14 years or HS and 16 years. Must meet Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification requirements. Required qualifications include the following:Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) information security requirements, standards, and best practices; DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACP) compliancy with Retina, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and information assurance vulnerability alert (IAVA) patch managementMust be able to process and analyze information and trouble calls submitted by a customer (e.g., system administrator, developer, security specialist), make determinations, and provide and implement solutions Must be able to work with minimal supervision to perform complex technical tasks and lead others effectivelyPossess strong writing skills required for preparing documentation and other technical deliverablesExperience with automated testingProficient in use of Microsoft Office applications Word and ExcelMinimum ten years of system administrator infrastructure planning experienceMicrosoft server certificationsKnowledge of containers such as DockerAutomation background with Ansible or other toolsDesired:Possess analytical thinkingHave an ability to learn new technologies quicklyStrong ability to follow processes with documentationcommunicationtime management skillsHave good commercial and business awareness
