Job Description:

General Summary:   Supports manufacturing of chemical products. Follows established QC processes and creates new ones as part of continuous improvement. Supports other operations within the company in a technical role.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Analyzes product samples as part of product quality control and maintains daily operations of the QC Lab (titrations, pH & conductivity, etc.)Supports activities of chemists within the R&D Group. Prepares standards and specifications for processes, products, and tests.Ensures all safe working procedures are followed and observed.Maintains a high standard of housekeeping as part of normal operations.Provides technical support to sales staff, co-workers and customers when needed.Conducts research on manufactured products to develop and improve products. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge & Background Requirements:  Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field.Skills & Experience Required:  Minimum 2 years professional experience preferred. Lab experience and computer skills are essential.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
