Gambit Legal APC is seeking an associate attorney to work directly with our supervising attorneys. Our firm is a small, but quickly growing firm specializing in representing income property owners in unlawful detainer actions. Experience in unlawful detainer actions is a plus but not required. We will train the right candidate.This is a high volume position and stress management will be key. The right candidate will find significant opportunity for growth and development. Communication, self-sufficiency, and follow-through skills are a must.Applicants who recently passed the Bar Exam, waiting for their Bar Exam results, or JD graduates who will be taking the Bar Exam are welcome to apply.Responsibilities:- Preparation of legal documents on Judicial Council Forms- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs- Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as hearings and trials- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients- Attend depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategiesSkills:- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school- Admission to the California state bar association (preferred but not required)- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously- Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsProficiency with MS Office and Adobe.
