Kelly Science has an immediate opening for an Environmental Laboratory Supervisor for our growing client near Fort Wayne, INFull-timeDirect hireSalary: $90,000-$105,000Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of test results while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.Your Role: As a Environmental Laboratory Supervisor, you'll lead a team of approximately 40 employees, providing guidance and support in fast-paced environments. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining safety and quality standards, managing lab operations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You'll collaborate closely with department managers and supervisors to ensure production goals are met efficiently and effectively.What You'll Do:Lead and inspire your team to maintain safety and quality standards at all times.Spearhead initiatives to promote a culture of safety first within the organization.Direct and coordinate daily activities within the lab operations department.Provide direction to ensure production goals and customer expectations are consistently municate the benefits of Element testing services to internal and external stakeholders.Mentor and develop staff members to enhance workforce capabilities.Manage budgets, inventory, and logistical processes to meet organizational goals.Evaluate, design, and implement business processes to optimize efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish priorities and allocate resources effectively.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in a science or technical-related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.5 to 10 years of experience in environmental testing, with a strong background in Organic, Inorganic, and Metals.Proficiency in laboratory safety and testing capabilities.Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and train staff effectively.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with attention to detail.Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.Proven track record of technical competency and success in operations management.Why Join Us:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for career growth and development.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Make a meaningful impact in a leading testing and certification organization.If you're a proactive leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, we want to hear from you!
