For more information, visit: this roleWhat will you do?The Inside Sales Representative specializes in establishing and maintaining customer relationships and getting new business using various remote tools within the Human Nutrition division. In addition, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing volume on existing accounts, as well as establishing new customers and introducing new products throughout their assigned territory.Critical resultsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with customers and new prospects by following up on inbound leads, proactive cold calling, and following up on outbound marketing campaigns Determine and implement strategies that would help displace competitors for market position Maintain and grow existing account base within the Human Nutrition marketPursue new customers through prospecting or through alternative opportunities (internet sales, etc.)ResponsibilitiesKeep a pulse on the market by monitoring Human Nutrition industry changes and recording trendsParticipate in and provide product and sales trainingSustain and improve the level of service offered to our customers (internal and external) via unique and new service initiatives working within company operating proceduresPrompt follow-up on company and principal leads, as well as customer issues and needsCollaborate with management and outside sales as needed on specific accounts Promote key products to grow profit and market shareAbout YouEducation ExperienceBachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, etc. or equivalent experience requiredPrevious experience in consultative or need based sales, tech services andor a lab environment preferredAbility to understand formulations and end use applicationsProfessional sales management discipline: use of CRM, documentation of sales activities (call reports, account plans, customerprospect profiles, itineraries, account profitability review), and development of a territory planSkillsDemonstrated exceptional organizational, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skillsMust be self-motivated, high energy, engaging, positive and solutions focusedEffective and able to adapt communication style to the audience as neededSoftware knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power PointAbility and desire to work in a team environment requiredMust be able to effectively prioritize work assignments for self and othersWhy Barentz?Barentz is a fast-growing organization with an open culture and short lines of communication.
