This is a terrific role for an up and coming associate with 2+ years of experience with a passion for representing clients in the courtroom whose looking for a supporting firm to grow their career with. The firm provides excellent benefits, believes in work-life balance, and creates mentorship and professional development opportunities for associates.Responsibilities Include:Prepare legal correspondence, such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and motionsConduct legal researchPrepare for and attend hearingsProvide legal counsel under the supervision of partners and senior attorneysQualifications Include:J.D. from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmission to the Maryland Bar2+ years of experience in Family, Estate Planning, or Disability Benefits LawExcellent research and writing skills and strong analytical skillsFamiliarity with legal research databases, such as Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and PACERProficiency is MSOfficeStrong interpersonal skills and ability interact with different constituencies (other attorneys, clients, courtroom officials)Key Points:Junior AssociateGrowth PotentialMentoring TeamCandidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.The Ford Agency is a recruiting firm based in Washington, DC.
