Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate, conduct, and teach compliance reviews, inspections, and internal audits to ensure adherence to all applicable environmental permits, rules, and regulationsObtain all environmental permits required for company plants, sites, and projectsAssist in ensuring all compliance or monitoring tests are conducted in accordance with timeframes outlined in environmental operation permitsAssist in maintaining documentation compliance activities such as inspections, audits, complaints, and investigations verifying information is updated in EMSReport all violations of environmental permits, rules, and regulations to company management personnel and, when required by operational permits, to duly authorized regulatory agenciesKeep informed regarding changes to environmental legislation, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact these changes will have on company operationsWork with sites and projects to review required documents to ensure ongoing compliance and ensure it is in Environmental Management System (Riskonnect) Manage and attend emissions testingDevelop and update environmental-related requirements and proceduresEnsure all compliance and annual reports are completed and documented in EMSInform internal field employees, managers, and outside contractors of company environmental policy, best practices, and compliance requirementsParticipate in environmental education and researchAdvise field and middle managers on use of any environmental compliance or reporting tools that are available for themDevelop and implement environmental compliance plans for programs such as air quality, stormwater discharges, oil spill prevention or control, recycling, managing hazardous materials, employee education, and so onTrack key compliance metrics and implement systems to improve performanceFacilitate improvements to and help maintain site Environmental Management System Requirements Bachelors degree preferred, in environmental sciencestudies and should have advanced formal training,Position is remote with preference given to those near APG locations andor major airport Position will need to travel up to 50% of the time to support businesses across the West region while supporting international businesses primarily through electronic methods What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
