Company DescriptionEnvironmental consulting firm-outstanding work environment with small firm founded in 1997.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Soil Scientist with Ecological Resource Consultants, Inc. located in Panama City Beach, FL. The Soil Scientist will make recommendations for land-use management and environmental management practices: soil morphology (hydric soils) wetland restoration, conservation management for sites ranging in size from small to larger tracts on private and public lands. The Soil Scientist will also conduct research, analyze data, design plans, write reports, and present data to clients and stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related fieldExperience in conducting fieldwork and soil sampling.Experience in analyzing soil data and providing recommendations for land-use management and environmental management practices.Experience in conducting research, writing reports, and presenting data to clients and stakeholders.Strong proficiency in GIS and related softwareExcellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work in a variety of field and laboratory settings and adverse weather conditions.Frequent travel is not required- the majority of sites are within the region.
