This position will coordinate the implementation of key safety programs through direct interaction with clientsMonitor safety and risk management software, programs, vendors, and overall insurability of existing and prospective clientsProvide and conduct safety trainings, walk throughs, and assessments for clientsPerform onsite safety inspections, determine probable causes, work with Safety Manager to make recommendations for corrective action and follow up with clients to ensure measures have been implementedUse knowledge to wear correct Personal Protective Equipment at all times and is responsible for having available personal protective equipment at all times Conduct post accident investigations and prepare reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by the clients' senior managementCommunicate any red flags to Manager and Risk DepartmentSupport Risk team with information regarding clients lost-time injuriesillnesses and worker's compensation claims so GMS can better manage all claimsAssist clients and other departments with creating safety programs and be a resource for questions as they relate to safetyConduct OSHA trainings in either the construction or general industry for clientsPerform all others duties as assignedWhat are some Qualifications?EducationExperienceBachelor's degree required and 3+ years related safety experience preferred; or equivalent combination of bothCertificationsAEDCPR-American Heart Association Certification preferredCertification as an OSHA Authorized Trainer preferredCertified PIT trainer preferredOtherValid driver's license is requiredMust be able to travel up to 75% of the time; overnight stays may be necessaryWhy GMS?People don't necessarily buy what you do, they buy WHY you do it.
