National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 757-200, 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions.Job Title: Maintenance Control ManagerLocation: Orlando, FLDepartment: MaintenanceReports To: Maintenance DirectorFLSA Status: ExemptSummary: The Maintenance Control Manager coordinates and monitors aircraft maintenance activities for compliance with FARS and Company policy and procedures.Essential Functions:Participates in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual.Facilitates resolution of technical problems for timely repair of aircraft.Provides advice and direction for correcting technical problems.Liaisons with SOC to provide accurate and timely communication regarding aircraft status.Monitors technical performance for potentialchronic problems.Coordinates scheduling of planned maintenance and routing of aircraft for priority maintenance purposes.Ensures adherence to CFR's and Company procedures.Reviews all aircraft discrepancies. Identify repetitive items and ensure that a plan is organized and implemented to troubleshoot and repair repetitive items in a timely manner. Coordinate all activity with department heads.Ensures that DMI procedures are adhered to. Reviews of previous shift DMI entries-Opened, Deferred, or Closed-have been performed.Performance of audit of these entries for completeness and accuracy have been accomplished.Reviews the WinAir Maintenance Forecast Report daily.Identifies and plans for items coming due.Reviews all aircraft discrepancies and delays for possible MISRSDR reportable items.Ensures procedures for MISRSDR data collection are followed.Ensures Delay report procedures are followed.Reviews and ensures that controllers keep the Controller Log up to date and accurate.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Experience:Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings SRR:121.378(a)Knowledge of FAA regulations Parts 91 and 121Have at least 5 years of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.Have at least 5 years of experience maintaining large aircraft with an air carrier.Have at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft that National Airlines operates.Have completed all initial a recurrent training required to assure that they are qualified to perform their Duties SRR:121.375Must complete initial SMS Training and recurrent SMS Training.
