An international agricultural products and services company, we handle agricultural commodities and have a diverse portfolio of products and businesses.SummaryPerdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Project Manager in Salisbury, MD. This position will be responsible for the research, development, design, management and implementation of capital projects throughout AgriBusiness to improve manufacturing or maintenance processes, using project management best practices as defined by the Project Management Institute. To provide consultation and guidance to the facility managers for capital projects that will improve manufacturing and maintenance processes.The Project Manager must be willing to travel 50% of time, or as directed by management, to support projects at Perdue AgriBusiness locations.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResearch, design, and develop capital projects that will improve manufacturing and maintenance processes.Manage multiple capital projects with projected scopes ranging from $0 - $25MM, from start-up to completion.Manage capital project implementation, utilizing project management best practices, to ensure interim and final completion dates are attained.Manage, monitor, and implement cost control measures, utilizing project management best practices, to ensure capital projects are completed within or under projected budgets. Ensure capital projects comply with all local, state and federal safety and environmental laws, regulations, requirements and Company Policies, engineering specification, and procedures. Minimum EducationBachelors degree - Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Agricultural, or other Engineering related degree (preferred)In the absence of a degree, 5 plus years of related work experience will be consideredExperience RequirementsIf degreed, 3 - 5 years experienceUnderstanding of manufacturing technologiesUnderstanding of project management techniquesUnderstanding of standard software applications (Excel, AutoCAD, Word, etc.)Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skillsMust possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license Experience PreferredProject Management Profession (PMP) Certification preferred but not required, must be willing to gain certification within first year of employment if not currently certified. Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0 - 100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0 - 100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (SDS sheets available). Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities, vender, and customer locations. Able to use standard office equipment.
