Product Manager Business Development - Laser Glass and Infrared MaterialProduct Manager Laser Glass & Infrared Material:Market Intelligence: Perform continued monitoring of product related markets and competition. Understand lead applications, product value chains and customermarket needs.Product strategy & planning: Define and implement the product strategy in alignment with the overall SBF strategy. Define the financial plan; derive a value proposition (competitive advantage); derive a Market & Product roadmap, define the IP strategy.Product Portfolio Management: Ensure state of the art product portfolio and manage the product life cycle with regards to variations, modifications, improvements, and out-phasing of obsolete products. Give guidelines for the marketing mix; Build a market network; Do sales team support.Monitoring: Monitor the execution and business success incl. initiation of countermeasures if necessary.Business Development:Create new ideas: Collect new product ideas considering product relevant market trends. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities. Work out product ideas incl. business plans.Lead for strategic growth initiatives: Understand the (new) product and or application fields. Engage prospects and guide the organization to create opportunities. Coordinate hand-over to sales team for opportunity management.(Optional) Regional Market Team Coordinator: Focus Market strategy and business development. Define the Focus Market strategy and execution plan. Ensure and review strategic execution. Ensure close alignment with other functions on all topics. Performs other duties as assigned.Your Background:Bachelor's degree in engineering or scienceAt least 5 years' experience in project management, product management, technical sales engineering or business development for highly engineered products. Preferably in the field of Optical Components or Laser Glass Materials. Experience working with international customers in a cross-functional organization.Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~25-30%
