SummaryBison Oil & Gas is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager with expertise in preventing accidents, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with local and federal laws. Their contribution will be indispensable to our success, as it not only protects our people but also upholds our corporate responsibility.Job Responsibilities and Essential FunctionsDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and environmental programs and practices that adhere to industry regulations and encompass regulatory compliance, program management, and environmental stewardship.Management of programs related to Safety, Remediation, SPCC, Spill Response and Prevention, Noise, Stormwater, Baseline Groundwater Sampling, Wildlife, and Waste Management.Design, implement, and oversee safety protocols, policies, and programs, including those related to various environmental programs.Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance assessments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, including those related to environmental programs.Develop and deliver employee training programs on safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, regulatory compliance status, and environmental data.Facilitate emergency response planning and coordination, including those related to environmental incidents.Maintain detailed and organized documentation related to safety, regulatory compliance, program management, and environmental stewardship.Core Competencies:Interpersonal skillsData InterpretationTime ManagementAccountabilityAuditingProblem-SolvingAbility to Work Independently and in a TeamEducation and Experience (required):3+ years of experience working in the same or similar capacityExperience working in upstream oil and gas in the DJ basinPrevious experience with similar project management in DJ basinAssociate's degree in Environmental Health or related fieldOther Requirements:Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screeningAbility to legally work in the US without sponsorshipCompensation:Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $114,000 - $185,700 annually in this location. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.Work Environment:This position operates in an office and field environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public work station (cubicle) or private office.Physical Demands:In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, andor crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.Position Type and Working Hours:This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Typical work hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every other Friday. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.Travel:Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected.
