An important factor in achieving and evolving improvement is integrating our customer's requirements on a project-by-project basis with all elements of Adelphi Construction's work team: project management, engineering, site management, and planners.Position Primary ResponsibilitiesIndustrial Accessories Company (IAC), OEM for Air Pollution Control and Bulk Storage is looking for an experienced Project Manager for large EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) projects. Design experience with Dust Control Equipment (Baghouses, Cyclones, Ductwork, etc.), Bulk Material Handling Equipment and Conveyor Systems is a plus. Good communication skills are required. This person must be able to work with a group, work alone as required, continue learning and adapt to change.Manage multiple projects at one time depending upon size and complexityThe Project Manager (PM) is expected to "own" each assigned project and serve as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycleEstablish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractorsCoordinate with internal resources, vendors, and subcontractors to design and procure necessary equipment and materials for the flawless execution of projectsEnsure quality projects are delivered on schedule, within scope and budgetDevelop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsure all project objectives and deliverables are clearly documented, approved, and delivered to meet clients' needs and expectationsGenerate RFIs (when appropriate) during project execution and send to the appropriate entityParticipate in pre-construction meetings with estimating personnel to discuss department objectives and goalsDevelop detailed project plans, schedule, and work breakdown structure (WBS)Coordinate resource planning, availability, and allocation with other internal departmentsCoordinate with Construction and Engineering Departments to optimize constructability and critical path schedule of buyout as well as in-house designs and equipmentDevelop a detailed project plan to track progress and measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniquesResponsible to direct team to resolve project challenges in a timely mannerOversee project financials including budget adherence and cash flow. Manage project estimated budget against project execution plan forecasted costsManage changes in scope, schedule, and claims management to maintain project profitabilityPerform risk & opportunity managementRequirements5+ years of experience in project management andor construction managementAbility to read design drawings, structural drawings, and plan setsFast-track building construction experience is a plusExperience in heavy industrial construction preferred Experience managing budgets for large construction projects Basic understanding of contracts and entitlementsSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsExcellent client-facing and internal communication skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsUS Citizen and Permanent ResidentAutoCAD or Inventor experience is a plusFamiliarity with Dust Collection Equipment (Baghouses, Cyclones, Ductwork, etc.), Bulk Material Handling Equipment, Dryers, Piping, Conveyor Systems, and Structural Steel is a major plusProficiency with MS Office Suite products.Required Travel: Willingness to travel to jobsites as required.
