Summary CNC MachinistProgrammer - is responsible for producing machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards. Programming with Esprit (required) 2022 on vertical mills. Lathe programming a plus. Experience with Solidworks and AutoCad preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Proficient in machine operation loads raw materials and unloads completed partsRequired to operate multiple machines simultaneously when neededPerforms inspection of own parts and co-worker's workFollows instructions when selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures Uses measurement tools i.e. digital calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instrumentsAdjusts tooling & work offsetsPerforms preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricantsCleaning responsibilities including equipment, chip removal, and work areaFollows established procedures as well as quality and safety standardsMaintains safe work environmentWorks under supervisionQualifications and Education Requirements Advanced computer skills and professional level of Esprit software REQUIREDGood working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, basic math and measuring instrumentsAdvanced knowledge of programming codesAdvanced understanding of machine practicesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving skillsMotivated and shows willingness to learnWillingness to teach others the machining skills for them to advance and growDemonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude5+ years CNC machiningprogramming experience requiredDue to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
