Job Description:

The Distribution Department Manager is a rea manager that is responsible for leading teams to achieve the highest level of results. Much of the position involves motivating, mentoring, and coaching. The Department Manager position provides associates with the tools they need for success as well as drives productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have experience with large-scale process improvement initiatives using data-driven techniques. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and develop area municate policies to Employees and act as the primary information source for the team, maintain compliance and consistency and take corrective action as needed.Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe working environment.Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer expectations while ensuring accuracy and quality.Establish and maintain quality control standards.Build and execute productivity plans, review work forecasts, and determine productivity requirements.Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.Create and report out team metrics for shift results, and productivity rates, and summarize winslosses for the shift to management.Create, manage and support recognition and communication programsProactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.Design, implement and support a system that can provide ad-hoc access to large datasets.Analyze data to support ad-hoc queries and pre-built reporting. Job Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.3-5 years of management experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.Direct experience managing teams and supporting their performance.Experience identifying and implementing large-scale process improvement initiatives using data-driven techniques (performance metrics or Lean techniques).
