Job Description:

Droplet Biosciences is seeking a scientistsenior scientist to join the assay development team in the development of novel lymph biopsy tests. The assay development team leverages advanced -omic technologies and works cross-functionally to deliver early and sensitive diagnostics that ultimately impact treatment decisions. This position would suit an innovative and critical scientist passionate about the advancement of cancer diagnostics and treatment.ResponsibilitiesAct as technical lead on assay development projects from feasibility, optimization, and execution.Design, develop and validate assays for the detection of minimal residual disease and cancer biomarkers.Demonstrate initiative and creativity in contributing to Droplet's IP portfolio.Analyze and present data internally and externally.Contribute to reports and publications.Collaborate with clinical and informatic teams to optimize collection, wet-lab, and analytical processes.Mentor and train junior research associates.Act as a technical expert across multiple technologies.Maintain up to date knowledge of the field.QualificationsPhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field.Hands-on experience with genomic assays.Collaborative scientist who enjoys gaining interdisciplinary knowledge.Excellent written and presentation skills.Preferred: Previous experience in liquid biopsy or cancer diagnostic field.Preferred: experience collaborating with bioinformaticsExperience with proteomic or cell biology experience is a plus.
