The Electrical Technical Specialist will provide technical troubleshooting skills.to maintenance and operations to restore product flow, as well as provide technical leadership and training to craft employees. The person in this role is also expected to provide technical solutions to recurring design, process, and application problems, and analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities and develop solutions and system improvements. They will assist the maintenance department in short and long-term outage planning and assist supervisors and crafts in following up on VPM issues and items from the daily management action register. This person would also be expected to develop, manage, and implement small capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide process engineering support.Responsibilities for Internal CandidatesPrimary Responsibilities Design of manufacturing processes and proceduresInvolvement with continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods.Work hand in hand with craft employeesAct as a resource for technical guidance to manufacturing personnelAssist in justification of new equipmentInterface with other manufacturing departments to address and resolve technical issuesAdhere to Arconic EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, and other company policiesIntegrated role as direct support of the Maintenance Organization.Respond to trouble calls on a 247 basisNote: This position will require frequent shift and weekend linemaintenance support.Qualifications for Internal CandidatesBasic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications.Experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting AC drives, DC drives and Programmable Logic Controllers.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Preferred Qualifications Associates or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline5 years of experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.5 years' experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, FMEA, RCM SPC, TQM, etc.Strong written and oral communications skills.Ability to work with cross-functional teams.Proficient problem solving and creative thinking skills.Strong maintenance background.Familiarity with instrumentation including HART communications.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Gas fired combustion system exposure desired.
