Incumbent has full powers of apprehension and detention which entails carrying a firearm, mirandizing suspects, preserving evidence and testifying in court.Serves as a dispatcher for the installation and dispatches police units to scenes of crimes, accidents and natural disasters.Performs full range of Entry Control and ensures individuals requesting access to the installation have proper identification to enter.Performs the full range of duties for defending protection level resources and serves as a restricted entry controller and immediate visual assessments sentry providing surveillance for sensitive, restricted, and limited access areas.KEY REQUIREMENTS:Subject to both pre-employment and random drug testingMust pass formal law enforcement training school as determined by AFA4S and obtain DOD Peace Officer Standardization and Training CertificationMust be able to qualify in the use of required weapons, as they will be required to in performance of dutiesThis position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
