Overview: Client Company is looking to hire a full-time Superintendent to support construction projects on-site in the Houston area. Experience in building recreation centers and managing sub-contractors is ideal.Responsibilities:Manage the execution of field operations of architectural construction projects in the Houston areaCoordinate and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with architectural drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.Lead and manage construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow, quality craftsmanship, and timely project delivery.Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and budget expenditures, providing regular updates to stakeholders and addressing any deviations from the plan.Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety practices, and adherence to project schedules and specifications.Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues, technical challenges, and construction conflicts.Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications, identifying discrepancies and coordinating necessary revisions.Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies required for construction activities, ensuring timely availability and municate effectively with project team members, clients, and stakeholders to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings, to support project management and compliance requirements.Provide leadership and mentorship to construction team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related fieldProven experience in architectural construction management, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial, or institutional construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction principles, methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on architectural detailing and finishes.Thorough understanding of architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and building codes.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.Proficiency in construction project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office suite.Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and make informed decisions under pressure.Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to oversee construction projects and meet project deadlines.BenefitsHealth, vision, dental insurance (eligible from the date of hire)Life insurance401(k) match (eligible from the date of hire)No travel outside of the greater Houston areaCompany phone and vehicle or car allowancePre-employment background and drug screen not applicableBi-annual bonus
