Job Description:

Taylor Engineering, Inc. seeks to hire a CAD OperatorDesigner to work remotely or in any of our Florida locations (Jacksonville, Tampa, or Destin). This position will support other CAD staff and engineers in the production of engineering documents that comply with company standards and practices. Duties and Responsibilities Receive engineering guidance and sketches to develop conceptual, permit, and construction documentation.Develop and revise engineering documentation for coastal engineering projects including but not limited to: navigable waterway dredging and dredged material management; shoreline protection; waterfront structures including docks, piers, seawalls, wharfs; beach nourishment and rehabilitation; artificial reefs and living shorelinesDevelop 3D virtual models of engineering designs for deriving documentation and quantitiesDevelop and review completed civil engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standardsRequirementsAssociate or technical school degree in designdrafting or a related fieldProficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Excel and other Microsoft Office productsAutoCADCivil 3D certification a plus8+ years of technical design experienceCandidate Characteristics Organized with the ability to multi-taskEnergetic, detail-oriented team playerEffective analytical and problem-solving skills with a basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry fundamentalsAbility to understand and interpret technical information and diagramsPhysical RequirementsLifting up to (25) pounds unassistedSitting for extended periods of timePossesses acceptable vision (with or without corrective lenses) to be able to see and navigate a computer screen Ability to occasionally go into the field and to observe and document construction sitesWho are we?Here at Taylor Engineering, we are a team.
