Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:  "‹Monitor and assist with direction of daily operations for three quarries in order to meet present and future plant feed stone requirements; ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance and support economic and sustainable development of the mineral resources.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with monitoring of quarry operations to ensure that quarry development plans are being followed; California and Arizona plant feed stone requirements are being met and quarry permit conditions and other government regulations are in compliance.Monitor plant quality control results as they relate to feed stone selection and blending, ore processing, and maintenance of consistent feed stone to the plantConduct monitoring and reporting (jointly with Environmental, Health & Safety Managers) associated with quarry permit conditions and regulatory requirements. Together with QSHE Team assess, develop, and manage annual plan to reduce the top two Safety and the top two Environmental Risks at the each quarry site annually. Lead the promotion of safety awareness and compliance.Monitor and track quarry production and development volumes as well as costs and associated budgets.Maintain and update quarry geologic maps and cross-sections and assist with revision of geologic model as needed.Maintain and update quarry production and development maps and cross-sections for economic quarry planning.Support maintenance and updating of developed quarry reserves for quarry development planning.Provide technical assistance for quarry permit applications as required.Assist in exploration and evaluation of potential extensions of existing quarry reserves for long-term future quarry development planning.Oversee logging and reclamation contractors as part of overall quarry development and progressive reclamation program.Update stockpile inventories as needed by accounting department.Annual maintenance of mining claims including claim staking, assessment work, filing of documents with government agencies.Some travel is expected to remote quarry location for campaigns.Other duties as assigned."‹QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in geology, or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. A minimum of 3 years of practical experience gained primarily at hard rock open pit quarry operations.  Advanced capacity to use Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Mine Planning and Resource. Management computer software (Surpac) is required.  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work both as a member of a team and independently are required.  A sound knowledge of geology and grade control methodology including database software is required.Must possess current US employment authorization; sponsorship not available for this position.EOE
