Job Summary:Our client is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join their team! The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying complex technical computer software. This analyst meets project deadlines to insure satisfactory function of the software.Duties:Frequently work with outside vendor representatives and technical teams that interface with internal applicationsBe in a on-call rotation supporting applications 247Provide technical support to programming and operations areasWork with other systems programmers to develop, install, modify, and maintain the operation system, software products andor subsystems for network management, performance, and capacity managementLead the testing, debugging and modifications of software applications and validates their efficient use and integrationSupport complex computer software such as utility programs, job control language, macros, and subroutinesProvide technical advice on the operating system and subsystems including performance monitoring and measurement activityAssist with the training of less experienced Systems ProgrammersPerform other duties as assignedDesired SkillsExperience:Bachelor's Degree5+ years of related experience working in an IT environment providing production support for vendor applications with experience in installing, maintaining, and managing multiple applicationssystems5+ years knowledge andor experience in a Windows and UNIX environmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of job schedulers to create jobs including tasks and processesKnowledgeexperience with version control practices and version control toolsGood understanding of IT system administration best practicesGood understanding of JVMsGood understanding of Oracle and SQL databases and writing queriesComfortable with at least one type of shell scripting (Power Shell,KSH, Bash, Perl, WLS, etc.)Understanding of System change control processesBenefits:Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans401K offered
