These new programs will provide a rich opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the company's business development effort. Position:The successful candidate will be a results-driven & dynamic individual with extensive business development experience in biotech andor pharma. They will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our company. The immediate focus of this role will be to conduct a market analysis and work closely with cross functional teams, to identify, evaluate and establish external collaborations to advance ENSEM's home-grown programs, as well as participate in Company Series B fundraising. This role requires a blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to excel.Key Responsibilities:Participate in the development and execution of ENSEM corporate business strategy and build a proposal and recommendation to the Executive Management Team, with solid supporting data.Spearhead ENSEM's business development from market forecasts, competitive intelligence analyses, valuations and scenario modeling, contract execution, detailed tracking of progressstatus, to alliance management.Lead out-licensing (or in-licensing) business efforts for multiple products and indications, by championing term sheet negotiation and drafting agreements in close collaboration with internal teams, including R&D, legal, finance and others.Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy, aligning with company goals and market trends in the biotech industry.Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, including venture capital firms, private equity investors, and strategic partners within the BiotechPharma ecosystem. Manage ongoing communications with existing investors to keep them informed of company progress and opportunities for engagement.Create compelling pitch decks via collaborating with R&D teams that effectively communicate company's value proposition and investment opportunity to prospective investors. Tailor messaging and materials to resonate with different investor profiles and preferences.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare due diligence materials, including financial projections, market analyses, and regulatory assessments. Coordinate investor meetings and facilitate discussions to address investor inquiries and concerns.Lead negotiations with potential investors to secure favorable terms. Work closely with legal counsel and executive leadership to structure investment agreements and finalize deal terms.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the biotech sector. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential funding opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective investors and track interactions, progress, and outcomes. Develop and implement strategies to advance prospects through the fundraising (andor out-licensing) process efficiently.Foster a culture of collaboration by developing and maintaining strong and positive relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. Qualifications:MSBS degree in life science or related field required, advanced degree in business or life science (MBA or Ph.D.) is preferred.Proven experience in business development, fundraising, corporate development, due diligence, financial analysis, market and competitive researchanalysis, and strategic planning within the biotech or life sciences industry.Strong understanding of biotechnology market dynamics, including regulatory landscape, technology trends, and competitive positioningExcellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, and high-level understanding of drug discovery and development process.Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Effective negotiator with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in deal structuring and contract negotiation.
