Our dedicated team of scientists is committed to advancing medical knowledge and transforming patient outcomes through innovative molecular interventions.The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with extensive hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques. This individual will join the research team and play a key role in advancing our gene therapy research initiatives, contributing to the development of novel treatments for monogenic liver diseases. This is a full-time role that will be 100% on-site and based in Cambridge, MA. Responsibilities: Molecular Biology:Conduct DNA cloning and plasmid DNA preparationPerform gel electrophoresis, Western blot, and DNARNA extraction from cells and tissues Conduct polymerase chain reaction (PCR, quantitative PCR (qPCR) and RT-PCR.Execute genome editing with CRISPR technology.Cell Biology:Cell culture: Cell line maintenance, transfection and electroporationIn vitro cell based assays, experience with flow cytometry preferredHistology:Sample preparations, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescenceConduct RNA in situ hybridization, RNA-scope preferred Project Management:Execute benchwork independently, demonstrating a high level of technical proficiencyOrganize all research data, maintain electronic lab notebookManage research projects from conception to completionTeam Collaboration:Train and supervise laboratory technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environmentQualifications:Ph.D. in a biomedical field with a focus on molecular biology with up to 3 years of research experience in the pharmaceuticalbiotech industry or post-doctoral experience in relevant field. Candidates with 5+ years research experience in the pharmaceuticalbiotech industry with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree with 3+ years research experience within the pharmaceuticalbiotech industry will also be considered. Proven expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning, DNARNA extraction, qPCR, western blotting Strong background in histology, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescenceAbility to work independently, manage projects, and troubleshoot technical challengesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience with mouse models is preferredHydroGene Therapeutics is an equal opportunity employer.
