SummaryThe People & Culture Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of a centralized HR compliance monitoring program designed to align HR policies and practices with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and in support of the company business plan. This role focuses on compliance audits, policy creation, regulatory reporting, communication, and training.Position ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities are broad in scope and require considerable judgment and initiative in resolving unique problems and making recommendationsAssists in the development, implementation, and administration of a compliance monitoring program including preparation of compliance documentation and reports independentlyConducts regular audits of people policies and practices, ensures updates are aligned with applicable laws and regulations, published, and communicated to stakeholdersServes as a resource in HR compliance to resolve inquiries and provide cross-functional project support as neededProactively researches and monitors changes in HR related laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and to identify areas of opportunity to improve HR policies and practices.Updates company handbooksResponsible for combining disparate data sets in Excel and independently analyzing data, including the use of pivots, XLOOKUPS, charts, and graphs to drive process improvement and informed decisionsMaintains integrity of employee records and supports legal requests for documentation and information, investigator reviews, regulatory audits and reporting, insurance purposes, and approved requests for information, in accordance with applicable lawDevelops compliance training materials and collaborates with the Organizational Effectiveness team to provide and track required and recommended trainingMaintains and distributes compliance posters and required notices for all company locations and maintains electronic compliance notices on company SharePoint site and applicant systemsEnsures government reporting requirements (e.g., AAP, EEO-1, VETS-4212, ACA, 5500s, I-9s, E-Verify, etc.) are filed timely and appropriate tracking is completedPartners with HRIS for data reporting and analytics related to AAP, EEO-1, and VETS-4212Summarizes and presents AAP goals and action plan to the People & Culture teamResponsibilities require interaction at all levels within the company and discretion with confidential information.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience) Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years' applicable experience in HR compliance, policy writing, and data analyticsKnowledge, understanding, and application of federal and state employment laws related to: ERISA, FLMA, FLSA, EEO, ACA, ADA, I-9s, ITAR, etc. requiredExperience executing compliance audits and reportingExperience developing HR processes, procedures, and drafting companywide policiesExperience with Workday or other HRIS systemsEffective communication skills to easily communicate plans, reports, ideas, and concepts to cross-functional teams and managementHigh professional standards and demonstrated ability to influence and build credibility at all levels and establish collaborative working relationships across an organizationSelf-motivated with strong initiative and drive to prioritize, accomplish goals, and meet company objectives in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailThis position is HybridRemote and is required to work onsite 2-3 days per week (as needed) at the Simi ValleyMoorpark, CA offices.Other Qualifications & Desired CompetenciesExperience in 401(k) administration including annual compliance testing, 5500 audits, and ACA and benefits compliance reporting preferredExperience completing Affirmative Action Plans preferredPHRSPHR certification preferredPhysical DemandsAbility to work in an office or home office environment (Constant)Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and operate a computer and telephone (Frequent)The Salary Range For This Role Is$81,400 - $138,600AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, educationtraining, and key skills.Special Requirements:U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asyleerefugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") andor the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR").
