AEC Mergers and Acquisitions Lead Advisor For 50 years, Newton, Massachusetts-based PSMJ Resources has been the worldwide leader in business information, executive education, and management consulting for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) space. Due to unprecedented demand for our services, we need to add a motivated and meticulous Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant to our successful and growing team.The ideal candidate is a true leader with a passion for developing creative solutions to help our M&A clients achieve their objectives and delivering outstanding value every step of the way.Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to:· Help our clients to develop sound and sustainable M&A strategy;· Initiate both buy-side and sell-side transactions;· Source and screen acquisition targets andor buyer candidates;· Perform valuation review and analysis;· Maintain objectivity, even to the point of counseling against a transaction;· Negotiate and close win-win-win transactions.· Construct and deliver a Powerpoint pitch deck to prospective clients, as well as to the targets of their transactions.· Contribute to and cooperate with the PSMJ team in continuously developing our processes.As a PSMJ M&A Consultant, you benefit from access to our deep industry research and intelligence, database of 60,000+ AEC firms, and trusted brand that opens doors and makes valuable connections. You also have the opportunity to bolster your position as an industry thought leader by leveraging PSMJ's respected content channels, including seminar speaking and article publication.The ideal candidate brings:· 10+ years of experience and a demonstrated passion for mergers and acquisitions for closely held entities with significant intangible asset value.· Charisma and comfort with networking and public speaking.· Direct and demonstrated experience in negotiation and deal structuring of M&A transactions.· Ability to educate junior team members about the M&A process, as well as nuances to negotiation and deal structuring.· Impeccable time and project management skills.· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.· Understanding of how to construct and utilize a pitch deck and CIM.· Experience with, and a demonstrated passion for, the AEC industry is a big plus, however significant depth of experience with M&A transactions, corporate development, andor investment banking is welcome as well.PSMJ offers an entrepreneurial and high-energy culture with great pay, benefits, and growth potential.
