We are searching for associate to partner-level attorneys who practice family law. This firm offers great benefits and competitive compensation that is negotiable depending on experience and if you have an existing portfolio of clients or demonstrated ability to bring clients in.Example Job Responsibilities:Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memorandumGuide clients through the case processInteraction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports, and affidavitsAttendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearancesMinimum and Additional Qualifications:A JD from an accredited law school and a member of the SC Bar in good standing4+ years experience practicing as an attorney with knowledge of and experience in family law litigation Strong legal writing skills including experience in drafting briefs and other legal documentsAbility to express arguments and conclusions clearly and logicallyAbility to maintain composure and sensitivity in emotional or high-stress litigationAbility to communicate with clients compassionately, politely and in a way that puts them at easeStrong personal work ethic and ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervisionDetail-oriented, hardworking, and results-driven team playerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience trying cases, preferred but not requiredVisit our website for more information: resumes are held in strict confidence.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
