And we want you to join us in this vision.Senior Project Manager Position SummaryThe senior project manager is ultimately responsible for managing all contractual responsibilities on the construction projects assigned which may be multiple projects, including client communication, schedule, deliveries, documentation, document control, cost control, contract change orders, supplier, and subcontractor management and coordination onsite. Senior project managers are also responsible for managing other project managers in completing the same requirements.Senior Project Manager Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlans and defines project goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.Responsible for all scheduling and work coordination between shop and erector, and manage all on site work activities.Prepare and maintain a detailed schedule for drawing approvals, shop issues, buy outs and erection. Responsible for managing and tracking all payments, change orders, and back charges.Responsible for training, coaching and overseeing the work of Project Managers. Develop standard of operating procedure for Project Managers.Responsible for all issues involving erection. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all program or project activity, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or scheduleActs as the Company representative with the client and selected suppliers during the program or project execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client. Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans in order to market and secure newadditional work.The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.Senior Project Manager QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with steel fabrication, erection and estimating with 2 years management experience. Prior experience must include significant project experience and successful project management. Must be familiar with AISC and OSHA requirements. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent oralwritten communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.Senior Project Manager Physical DemandsSome overtime required to meet deadlines. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally. Requires long periods of sitting. Must be able to travel to off-site jobs.
