Job Description:

The Manager sells fresh poultry and builds relationships that provide value to our New and existing customers in order to achieve financial and business objectives that align with company's core values and culture. The Manager position is a product sales role for poultry within the designated territory generally the South, SouthEast and some mid-west areas.Responsibilities and Key Duties:Meet or exceed sales goals within assigned geographical areaEffectively manage territory expenses according to budgetMaintain a high level of forecast accuracyProfessionally represent employer at all relevant industry eventsBuild long-term strategic relationships that are mutually beneficial for the company and the customerConduct regular visitsmeetings with key personnel and decision makers to increase the conversion rateBecome a SME (Subject Matter Expert) regarding the poultry industryEducate customers on products and trends in the industryEntertain customers during sponsored eventsBuild and maintain trust and rapportComplete all administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner:Effectively utilize CRM for reporting and inventory updates.Submit expense reports that are timely and accurateEnsure the sales forecast is timely and accurateCommunicate, collaborate and coordinate internal partners to achieve customer, business, and financial objectivesPrioritize using personal communication (phone calls) above emails and conference calls.Identify and manage business in two groups; Current and New customersStructure monthly and quarterly goalsplans to achieve annual goalsMaintain knowledge of company's products as well as competitors as a means of self-improvementCommunicate industry needs to leadershipCoordinate customer meetingsMaintain a professional and ethical imageTechnical Functional Competencies:Selling SkillsAnalytical SkillsPlanningWritten and Oral CommunicationArticulateTime ManagementMulti-TaskingInfluencePresentation skillsLeadership and team-buildingCreativitySales experience involving fresh meat with poultry experience a plus.This position will require travel.
