Job Description:

UFCW Local 7, the largest private sector labor union In Colorado, is looking for a bright and aggressive Associate Counsel for its Legal Department.Responsibilities:-- Represent the Union in a variety of legal matters including labor arbitration and litigation practice before the National Labor Relations Board.-- Occasional Appearances in Colorado State and Federal Courts or before other federal agencies-- Provide advice on a wide variety of legal matters-- Other activities as assigned by the President or General Counsel.Qualifications:-- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.-- Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado or be eligible to become licensed in Colorado within six (6) months of hire.-- Successful applicants will have at least four (4) years of practice post-admission, with an emphasis on litigation or similar adversarial proceedings.-- Labor and Employment experience is preferred but not required.-- Excellent writing and legal research skills-- A passion for working with and for working petitive compensation package and benefits, including health insurance, vacation and sick leave, and defined benefit pension plan.
