Job Description:

Position SummaryWe are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk II to join our finance team. The Accounting Clerk II will play a crucial role in maintaining the day-to-day financial operations including ensuring accurate and timely processing of AP and AR, maintaining proper documentation, and assisting with various accounting this role, you will report to the Assistant Controller and be part of a small but mighty finance team. This role requires a dedicated team player that will champion our core values of courage, collaboration, curiosity, and respect. Essential ResponsibilitiesOversee AP process including obtaining approvals, entering invoices, making payments, and resolving payment discrepancies with vendors and internal departmentsGenerate monthly customer statements, monitor AR aging, and follow up on overdue paymentsAssist with office tasks such as receiving mail, scanning, and depositing checksMonitor department email account and other communicationsResponsible for expense report process and credit card reconciliations.Submit supporting documentation for chargebacks and other transaction dispute related requestsOrganize and maintain department files and recordsRenew business licenses and permits for all locationsGather sales tax exemption certificatesAssist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentationEducation & Experience RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related filed preferredPrevious experience (1-3 years) in an accounting or finance role preferredKnowledge & Skill RequirementsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keepingKnowledge of AP and AR processesProficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrityAbility to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholdersWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
