job summary:We are searching for an Electro-mechanical Technician in Cambridge, MA to work for an industry leading electronics company. This role will be part of a medical device development team responsible fabricating, assembling, and debugging the key units for prototypes of an innovative medical robotic device.This is a part-time role. 21 hours per week with 3 days in the office. location: Cambridge, Massachusettsjob type: Contractsalary: $45 - 50 per hour responsibilities:Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering drawings and schematics using knowledge of electrical principles.Assemble, align, and troubleshoot mechatronic prototype systems from assembly drawings and verbal directions.Test and diagnose malfunctioning electrical or electronic systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Perform various testing on mechatronics prototype systems to ensure their robustness, safety, and functionality.Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to create, fabricate, and improve assembly fixtures. qualifications:Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 5 years of experienceEducation: Associates
